WHAT IT RECOGNISES
A Special Mention highlights a notable quality that deserves attention even when the project is not selected for a time-based award. The distinction may reflect focused craft rather than uniform strength across every judging area.

SPECIAL MENTION
Special Mentions recognise websites with a particularly strong idea, interaction, technical detail or focused area of execution.
WHAT WE CONSIDER
Review looks for a clear point of distinction, such as an inventive interaction, disciplined technical solution, accessible pattern, performance decision or unusually effective translation of design into code.
HOW IT FITS
This collection sits alongside the nominee archive and time-based awards. It provides a permanent record of projects recognised for a specific contribution to development craft.
