These Terms of Service govern all website submissions, studio account management, editorial reviews, and general usage of the Web Dev Awards platform. By submitting a project or creating an account, you agree to these conditions.
Scope & Service Agreement
Web Dev Awards operates an independent web design and development awards program, publishing platform, and digital archive. These terms form a binding agreement between the submitting entity ('Entrant' or 'User') and Web Dev Awards. Access to website evaluation, winner profile publication, badge distribution, and studio account tools is contingent upon compliance with these terms.
Submission Authority & Rights
By submitting a website for evaluation, you represent and warrant that you are the creator, owner, client, or an authorized representative (agency, developer, or designer) with full authority to submit the work. You grant Web Dev Awards a non-exclusive, worldwide, royalty-free license to archive, display, screenshot, reproduce, and reference the submitted website, logo, studio name, and supplied credits for editorial, archival, and promotional purposes across our network.
Evaluation Service & Fee Scope
The single $9 USD entry fee covers the administrative and technical costs of conducting an independent, professional editorial review. Payment of the fee guarantees thorough evaluation against our published criteria but does NOT guarantee selection, nomination, publication of a winner profile, feedback documentation, or an award. The fee pays strictly for review processing time and platform resources.
Publication & Permanent Archive
Websites selected for recognition receive a permanent public profile in the Web Dev Awards archive. Profile records include the website name, thumbnail preview, category, studio attribution, country, and canonical outbound link. Once published, archive records are permanent to preserve historical web development records, though material factual errors or studio ownership updates may be corrected upon request.
Account Security & Responsibilities
User accounts enable tracking of entry statuses, management of studio workspaces, and verification of project credits. Account holders are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of their credentials and six-digit authentication codes. Any activity conducted through an account remains the responsibility of the account holder. Studio transfers require explicit double-confirmation between account owners.
Content Standards & Prohibitions
Websites containing illegal material, malicious code, phishing scripts, hate speech, explicit adult content without appropriate warnings, deceptive attribution, or unauthorized copyright infringement are strictly prohibited from entering. Web Dev Awards reserves the right to reject or revoke any entry that violates these standards without refund.
Modifications & Operational Rights
Web Dev Awards reserves the right to standardize project formatting, adjust category classifications, update evaluation timelines, or correct inaccurate studio credits to maintain archival integrity. We reserve the right to amend these terms at any time by publishing updated conditions on this website.
Limitation of Liability & Jurisdiction
Web Dev Awards provides its services on an 'as is' and 'as available' basis without warranties of any kind. In no event shall Web Dev Awards, its operators, or judges be liable for any indirect, incidental, or consequential damages resulting from website submissions, non-selection, server downtime, or third-party links. These terms are governed by applicable law.
